1. Who is Walton Development and Management?

Established in 2005, Walton Development and Management L.P.’s (WDM) focus is on the planning and creation of sustainable residential, industrial and commercial developments. McConachie in North Edmonton and SkyView Ranch in North Calgary are WDM's current and active communities. In Spring 2012, WDM will launch its newest community, Hawk’s Ridge at Big Lake, in Northwest Edmonton. Plans for more residential, commercial and industrial projects throughout Alberta are in various stages of the development process. Past projects include Southfork in Leduc, and Sheppard Business Park in Calgary. WDM has a management team that has more than 580 years of collective professional experience in land planning and development. Our team members have worked on numerous master planned communities and look to bring their skills and experience into our current and future projects.

2. New North? What's new about it?

The "New North" is a concept to change the feel of North Calgary living. SkyView Ranch will have a feel very much unique to North Calgary. The community will provide an active lifestyle, a neighbourly feel and focus on widely appealing architecture and streetscape.

3. How long is the commute to downtown?

The commute to downtown is approximately 20 - 25 minutes. The community's proximity to several major transportation arteries will provide numerous options to your commute.

4. What future development is planned nearby?

SkyView Ranch is the first of three developments in NorthPoint, which is the largest approved development in Calgary's history. NorthPoint will be a self-sustained community surrounded by major employment centres.

5. How can I get to SkyView Ranch by car?

From Deerfoot Trail drive east on Country Hills Blvd., north on Metis Trail, east on 128th Ave NE or take Stoney Trail east/west, take south on Metis Trail, turn left (East) on 128 Ave NE and follow the signs.

6. What are the Showhome hours?

Showhome hours are Monday - Thursday 2:00 - 8:00pm, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays noon - 5:00pm. Closed Fridays. Currently there are 8 front drive showhomes, 4 townhomes, 6 new semi-detached homes, which all offer a great selection of exterior elevations and interior floor plans. On Sept 10th 9 new laned showhomes will be opened. SkyView offers a variety of home styles to choose from that will accommodate everyone's home buying needs.

7. Plans for the community (parks, pathways, recreational facilities, public transit, schools)

SkyView Ranch will be a sustainable community that will have a number of parks and pathways within the community. There will be playing fields and recreational areas scheduled for future phases. Please refer to community concept map within the website. There will also be numerous bus locations throughout the community that will provide access to McKnight/Westwinds LRT station. Introductory transit service for Route 445 Skyview Ranch began on March 14, 2011and currently runs during peak hours, 5:28 AM - 8:25 AM and 4:10 PM - 7:25 PM. 8. What is the price range for the available lots?

Condos start in the $150's, townhomes start in the low $240's, Semi-detached homes start in the low $270's, laned homes start in the low $300's, and front drive homes start in the low $380's.

9. When is SkyView anticipated being complete?

SkyView Ranch will be home to over 4000 residents when the community will be completed which is projected to be within the next 5 - 7years.

10. What are the types of residential units planned (multi-family, single family, etc)?

SkyView Ranch is a community of multi-family homes, laned homes and front-drive homes.

11. Are there architectural controls in SkyView Ranch?

We have architectural guidelines builders must follow in order to maintain the highest standards and are implemented to benefit residents of the community as it provides a cohesive and complimentary streetscape. 12. How many phases will there be?

Skyview Ranch will have 8 phases within the development. Sales have been quite strong since the opening of the community in September 2008 , over 650 single family homes have been sold as of February 2011. The builders are actively selling into Phase 4 7 6 with the anticipation of Phase 5 & 7 being released before the end of 2011.

13. Is there a Home Owner Association? Are there any fees attached?

Yes there is a Home Owners Association in place which have set the annual fees at $45.00 (plus GST). Please review the Home Owners Association manual with this web site.
